Now here’s some news that has me excited. Deadline is reporting that Scoot McNairy, one of the most under-appreciated actors out there, has joined Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice in an undisclosed role. It will likely be a supporting part, but to see him boarding a film as high profile as this one has me very pleased.
McNairy has cut his teeth in strong supporting parts for years now, and recently did some great work in Non-Stop and The Rover. Of course, he’s also shown up in films like Argo, 12 Years a Slave, Monsters and Killing Them Softly, leaving his mark with memorable performances each and every time. He’s definitely an actor set to break out onto the A-list quite soon, and joining Zack Snyder’s upcoming superhero pic will no doubt help get him there that much faster.
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will arrive in theaters on May 6th, 2016. It stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Tao Okamoto, Holly Hunter, Scoot McNairy and Callan Mulvey.
We’ll let you know once McNairy’s role has been revealed, but in the meantime, tell us, are you happy to see the actor boarding the film? Also, who do you think he will play? Sound off below!
