Paramount Pictures is at work on their latest project with Sacha Baron Cohen’s, The Dictator, after competing against three other studios for the distribution rights. Paramount took the prize when they sent two goats wearing Paramount logo t-shirts to visit Baron Cohen and his reps.
According to Deadline, one of Hollywood’s most talented and underrated comedic actresses, Anna Faris, has been offered a part and is now in negotiations to take on the leading female role in the film.
The film has Baron Cohen playing a merciless dictator who heads to the U.S. for a meeting at the United Nations only to discover that his number two has replaced him with a credulous sheepherder lookalike. As the dictator, he then roams the city and meets the owner of an organic food store (the role Faris is currently negotiating) who changes his dictorial mindset, with a little romance involved as well.
Borat and Bruno director Larry Charles will take the helm on a script by former Seinfeld writers Alec Berg, Jeff Schaffer and David Mandel. Scott Rudin is producing  and the film is due out May 11, 2012.
