Camo Green, Armed Forces-Themed Xbox One Controller And Headset Duo To Be Released In October

Outside of the generic black version, and an artistic Titanfall-inspired variation that only appeals to some, Xbox One owners don't have a lot of (first-party) controller themes at their disposal. That issue will improve slightly this fall, though, as Major Nelson has confirmed that a camo green Xbox One pad will hit North American stores in October, alongside a similarly-coloured headset.

Outside of the generic black version, and an artistic Titanfall-inspired variation that only appeals to some, Xbox One owners don’t have a lot of (first-party) controller themes at their disposal. That issue will improve slightly this fall, though, as Major Nelson has confirmed that a camo green Xbox One pad will hit North American stores in October, alongside a similarly-coloured headset.

Referred to as being “Armed Forces” themed, the two accessories will allow folks to show off their patriotism in style. The ability to do so won’t come cheaply, though, as the items will sell for a combined $155. That’s $90 for the headset and $65 for the controller, respectively, which continues Microsoft’s trend of charging an extra $5 for themed controllers.

Camouflage has never appealed to me, in any way, shape or form. However, I’d be lying if I said that about this new controller variant, because it actually looks pretty great.
