According to THR, GK Films has acquired the film rights to Tomb Raider a few months ago with intentions of rebooting the franchise. Writers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby have been hired to pen the script with Graham King and Tim Headington producing. Fergus and Otsby are known for their work on the Oscar nominated film, Children of Men and their most recent work on Iron Man, Akira and the upcoming Cowboys & Aliens.
Lots of questions are flying around wondering if Angelina Jolie will be reprising her role has Lara Croft, but as of right now, no roles have been cast. The Tomb Raider reboot is currently scheduled for a release sometime in 2013. Check back for more information as we get it!
