2K Reveals First WWE 2K15 Screen, Discloses Details

No, the above image is not some form of devilish trickery or a snapshot from an episode of Monday Night Raw; it is, instead, an actual shot of John Cena in WWE 2K15. The amount of detail that has gone into the character models, ring ropes, and even the stage is absolutely stunning, meaning that this will surely end up being the best-looking wrestling game ever made by a landslide.

No, the above image is not some form of devilish trickery or a snapshot from an episode of Monday Night Raw; it is, instead, an actual shot of John Cena in WWE 2K15. The amount of detail that has gone into the character models, ring ropes, and even the stage is absolutely stunning, meaning that this will surely end up being the best-looking wrestling game ever made, by a landslide.

In addition to the debut of the game’s first screenshot, 2K has revealed some details pertaining to its various modes.

First up is a mode called 2K Showcase, which will be an in-depth look at two of the most important and memorable rivalries in WWE history. 2K hasn’t officially announced what the rivalries will end up being, and when you account for how deep WWE history runs it isn’t exactly something that’s easy to predict. Nevertheless, it sounds like a very tantalizing experience, which will fall in line with previous iterations’ story modes.

The second gameplay option to receive disclosure is a full-blown career mode for your created superstar, that will be exclusive to the industry’s two current-generation consoles. Similar to how the graphics of WWE 2K15 are lifted from the technology used in the NBA 2K franchise, this career mode will also take notes and borrow strategies from its peer. It’s also very likely that WWE’s talent development territory, NXT, will be featured as a way for your superstar to prove him or herself. As such, you can probably expect NXT superstars like Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn to make the roster cut.

WWE 2K15 is shaping up quite nicely, in my opinion, and will be released on October 28th for current and last-generation consoles.
