Exclusive Video Interview With The Chainsmokers At Île Soniq 2014

With a massive hit under their belts in Selfie, and an equally impressive follow-up in Kanye, I think it's safe to say that it must be pretty good to be The Chainsmokers right about now. The New York City-based DJ duo, made up of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart, are quickly rising up the ladder of fame within the EDM scene and have been steadily making a name for themselves, having played at massive festivals like Ultra, Tomorrowland and TomorrowWorld.

So, how do the boys stay humble in the face of so much success? “We’re just doing what we like to do,” said Andrew (or Drew, as he prefers to be called) when I asked him that very question while at Montreal’s first annual Île Soniq music festival, where I had the chance to sit down for an exclusive interview with the DJs.

Though brief, our conversation was enjoyable, as Drew and Alex discussed how they approached their second single, what’s next for them, when they knew that Selfie would be a huge hit, and much more.
