Piranha 3DD news seems to be spilling out left and right these days. First, we reported about Gary Busey joining the cast. Then, we reported some more unusual casting news which confirmed that Ving Rhames, Paul Scheer and Christopher Llyod would be returning for the sequel along with Katrina Bowden.
And now What’s Playing is reporting that David Hasselhoff has been added to the list of confirmed actors. Piranha 3D worked so well because director Alexandre Aja managed to find a balance between a completely cheesy and fun summer movie crossed with an extremely gory horror movie. I hope that they can recreate the same fun that was had in Piranha 3D. And it looks like they may be able to by bringing back some of the original cast and signing a whole bunch of crazy icons like Hasselhoff and Busey.
Piranha 3DD is being directed by John Gulager (Feast) and will be released on November 23rd, 2011. Check of the mini press release below:
