It’s a mixed bag for ABC shows today. Selfie creator Emily Kapnek announced that the cancelled sitcom has found a new home on Hulu, where it will air out its remaining episodes before disappearing into the great unknown. Meanwhile, fellow freshman show Cristela has been picked up for a full 22-episode season.

Let’s deal with Selfie first. The comedy, which starred Karen Gillan and John Cho, got the ax at the beginning of the month after having aired six episodes. An additional seventh episode aired post-cancellation on November 11th, but now it’s been announced that the remaining six installments will all stream on Hulu, in the same kind of deal that was struck for cancelled Krysten Ritter-led sitcom Don’t Trust the B— in Apartment 23 last year. Each Tuesday, an episode will be released on Hulu, Hulu Plus and ABC.com for the next five weeks.

Cristela‘s prospects are decidedly rosier, now that ABC has handed the sitcom, a starring vehicle for comedian Cristela Alonzo, a back-nine order. It got off to a solid start in a Friday slot following Last Man Standing, debuting to a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49 and 6.6 million total viewers. Since then, it’s dipped a little but is holding at a respectable 5.5 million viewers.

With its back-nine order, Cristela becomes the network’s second freshman comedy to receive a full-season pickup, following the well-received Black-ish. Other new shows that have been picked up for additional episodes include the Ioan Gruffudd starrer Forever and Shonda Rhimes’ high-rated How to Get Away with Murder. Meanwhile, Selfie is joined in the television graveyard by its slot-mate Manhattan Love Story.
