Getting back to Paul Bettany’s humanoid, though, and it’s made abundantly clear that Marvel has retooled his appearance ever so slightly in his jump from the comic book pages to the silver screen. Gone are the green and yellow guise along with the mammoth collar, with the studio opting for a slightly more mechanized interpretation.

Age of Ultron is fast approaching its May release date. But before the group assemble for another bout of world-saving action, Joss Whedon’s sequel will undergo two weeks of reshoots in January, with reports suggesting that the extra scenes will include more of Asgard’s characters — namely Heimdall and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki.

Avengers: Age of Ultron will blast into theaters on May 1, 2015. Until then, be sure to check out the close-ups of The Vision in the gallery below.

Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
