BioWare is preparing to roll out the largest content update yet for Dragon Age: Inquisition, and the studio is looking to its PC audience to help test the patch in beta form before its general release. Those of you who wish to opt-in to the trail can sign up soon via the game’s official blog.
According to the post, the trial requires “a select group of PC players via signup in a closed, developer-like environment. You’ll be able to sign up for the beta program through the Keep in the near future, so stay tuned for more information.”
As for the contents of the update in question, BioWare confirmed that intrepid explorers of Thedas can look forward to the addition of a new storage space located in Skyhold’s Undercroft area, while a new armor tinting feature will allow you to customize the color of your armaments. But perhaps the most intriguing of the bunch is the Black Emporium, described as a mysterious subterranean shop that houses some of the most powerful artefacts in the land.
Alongside this underground lair is the Mirror of Transformation, which is a fancy term given to the feature that will allow players to modify the appearance and voice of their protagonist. A nifty addition, no doubt, given how expansive Dragon Age: Inquisition really is.
From what we understand, BioWare is prepping single-player and multiplayer expansions for Inquisition, as the studio previously confirmed that the critically-adorned RPG will remain a key figure for the development team throughout the course of 2015. What exactly these add-ons will contain, however, is another question entirely.
