Despite arriving off the back of a seemingly insurmountable wave of apprehension and doubt, the general takeaway from the debut trailer for Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot was positive.

Granted, some took issue with the superhero garb on display, though star Miles Teller quickly reassured fans of Marvel’s first family that the titular group will don the famous costumes at some point in the film. But while this is a crucial facet in the overall aesthetic, the headlining feature of Fox’s superhero feature is the otherworldly abilities bestowed upon the quartet — played by Jamie Bell, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Teller — and it’s those that take center stage in the film’s latest poster.

Taken from the final scene of last month’s trailer, the image is a much more detailed rendition of the money shot. Now, we’ve been given some indication of how the film will portray the abilities of Johnny and Susan Storm as the Human Torch and Invisible Woman, respectively. As Trank revealed before, this retelling will see the Fantastic Four travel to another dimension before gaining their supernatural powers, honing inspiration from the Ultimate Fantastic Four comic book thread.

Marvel’s first family will assemble for a bout of intergalactic action when Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four makes its debut in theaters on August 7.
