A couple weeks ago we aired our dissatisfaction with Zeds Dead‘s deviation from their dubstep roots, and they must have taken heart, as the VIP they’ve released of their April track, “Hadouken,” sounds more like the Canadian duo we know and love.

The new and improved “Hadouken” changes nothing on the buildup of the original, but switches out the trappy drop with a loud, dirty dubstep version that you owe it to yourself to listen to on a quality sound system. It fits so well with the other elements of the original that you almost wonder how far Zeds Dead’s been trying to go out of their way not to release dubstep bangers in light of their recent stylistic digression.

Zeds Dead are scheduled to release the remixes album tomorrow, May 12th on iTunes. Until then, give “Hadouken” a listen above and let us know what you think.
