For EA’s next venture in the Star Wars universe, the mega-publisher is bringing the beloved IP onto mobile platforms for Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes.

Similarly to Blizzard’s monumental Hearthstone and the recently-revealed The Elder Scrolls: Legends, Galaxy of Heroes is a collectible card game wherein players will acquire and manage a plethora of ships, items, and various characters. But what will likely go down as the unique selling point for EA’s new project is the fact that the upcoming CCG will span the entire Star Wars universe, meaning you’ll be able to revisit the prequels and original trilogy across the pseudo-campaign.

Mobile Boss Samantha Ryan also touched upon the trailblazing success of EA’s mobile division in general, and noted that a handful of titles – including Simpsons Tapped Out – are on their way to Apple Watch. The rise of Smartphone gaming is here, ladies and gentlemen.

No word yet on a release date for Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, though we expect EA to jettison Disney’s newly-acquired universe onto mobile platforms later this year.
