Bethesda Unveils Free-To-Play Card Game The Elder Scrolls Legends

Fallout 4 may have stole the show tonight with its almost unfathomable scope, but Bethesda also took time to announce its budding competitor to Blizzard’s Hearthstone, The Elder Scrolls Legends, a free-to-play card game that’s on its way to iPad and desktop PCs.

It’s expected to launch across the aforementioned platforms in question later this year and aside from a non-gameplay trailer, there’s little-to-no information about the new IP.

What do know is that it will, in typical Elder Scrolls fashion, revolve around the Khajit, Orcs, Elves, Nords, and Ghouls in the lush realm of Tamriel. Judging by its genre alone, there’s no question that the gameplay of The Elder Scrolls Legends will bear semblance to Hearthstone, though whether it can match its trailblazing success is another question entirely.

Stay tuned to We Got This Covered as we’ll have all the details pertaining to The Elder Scrolls Online as it breaks.
