As one of the undisputed heavy-hitters coming out of E3 2015, fans of Bethesda’s apocalyptic series have been clamouring for any news items or precious tidbits relating to Fallout 4. From the sequel’s mind-bending scale to the less-than-stellar graphics, it’s almost a given that the upcoming open-world title will occupy headlines the world over right up until its November release.

And today, Emil Pagliarulo, Fallout 4 Lead Designer and Writer, brings word of the voice cast that will bringing the game’s male and female protagonists to life. Meet Courtenay Taylor and Brian T. Delaney, your new accomplices in your venture into Bethesda’s wasteland.

Those who aren’t too familiar with voice actors in the video game industry may raise an eyebrow at these two names, but both have extensive experience in the medium. For instance, Taylor is perhaps most notable for her role as Jack in the Mass Effect series, while more recently shooter fans may recognize her dulcet tones from Destiny or Turtle Rock’s Evolve, where she voiced the hunter Val.

Delaney, on the other hand, trumpets his past experience over on Twitter; a track record that comprises “Halo 5: Guardians, Batman: Arkham Knight, Mighty No. 9, The Secret Life of Pets, Minions, Batman Unlimited: Monster Mayhem.” Heck, his profile picture and cover photo are both adorned with Fallout 4 artwork. How did we not spot this sooner?!

No matter, both Taylor and Delany certainly had their work cut out in bringing the game’s protagonist to life, with Bethesda revealing that over 26,000 lines of dialogue were recorded during development. Game Director Todd Howard recently revealed that the process itself took close to two years, with the two actors being responsible for 13,000 lines a piece.

Fallout 4 is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 10. Until then, be sure to share your thoughts on this casting using the comments section below.
