To mark the beginning of production on their Arrow/The Flash spinoff series, Legends Of Tomorrow, The CW has released a new promotional still featuring our first glimpse of Falk Hentschel as Hawkman, and our first proper look at Ciara Renée suited up as Hawkgirl.

Like their comic book counterparts, Kendra Saunders (Renee) and Carter Hall (Hentschel) harness the power of the ancient Egyptian hawk god, Horus, and are destined to reincarnate through time. How exactly they’ll be introduced on the show and come into contact with the rest of the motley bunch of heroes and villains that make up the team remains to be seen, but we’re definitely excited to see how they factor in.

As you can see in the image below, they’re missing their wings, but that’s probably because the powers that be are holding off on that full reveal until we see them in action. As for the costumes themselves? Well, let’s just say they’re very… CW.

The pair will make their debut on crossover episodes of Arrow and The Flash, before taking flight on Legends of Tomorrow next year, along with Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill,  Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller.
