Wall Street Journal has published a report detailing the yearly performance of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and, in particular, early sales figures for both Batman: Arkham Knight and NetherRealm Studios’ brawler, Mortal Kombat X.

According to the outlet, both titles have sold in excess of 5 million units, while LEGO Jurassic World – buoyed by the barnstorming success of its parent film – has gone on to sell 4 million copies at the time of writing. In the report, WSJ states, “in the past few years, the studio has shot to the top, thanks to major hits including Batman: Arkham Knight and fighting game Mortal Kombat X, which have each sold more than five million units globally.”

By the time Rocksteady’s trilogy-capper arrived on shelves earlier this year, anticipation was beginning to boil over, given that the threequel was postponed twice to iron out any remaining kinks. It debuted to strong sales across both North America and the UK, with Arkham Knight continuing to ship units after launch thanks to expansion packs for Batgirl, Nightwing and the soon-to-be-released Catwoman DLC.

As for Mortal Kombat X, NetherRealm confirmed that the mascot brawler clinched the trophy for the “biggest launch” in the franchise’s decorated history, and Warner noted both it and Arkham Knight‘s success in a financial report back in August.

Batman: Arkham Knight released across console platforms and PC back in June, though the latter version was quickly pulled from shelves in the wake of numerous game-breaking bugs and performance issues. It’s expected to go back on sale later this month.
