CBS has released a brief, but revealing synopsis for the third episode of their small-screen take on DC’s Supergirl, as well as a promo image featuring Melissa Benoist in her civilian guise of Kara Danvers.

The breakdown reveals that we’ll be meeting not one, but two new DC supervillains in this episode: the radiation-generating Reactron (Chris Browning), and the enigmatic Maxwell Lord (Peter Facinelli) – who may not be introduced in an antagonistic role initially, but will no doubt emerge as the scheming manipulator he’s shown to be in the DC comics.

You can check out the synopsis below:

Fight or Flight” – Supergirl’s powers are tested when Reactron, one of Superman’s formidable enemies, arrives in National City and targets the young hero. Also, Cat plans to run an exposé on Supergirl, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, Nov. 9 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Peter Facinelli guest stars as tech entrepreneur Maxwell Lord.

Supergirl also stars Chyler Leigh, Calista Flockhart, Mehcad Brooks and David Harewood, and is set to première on CBS on October 26.
