With Lash finally making his presence felt in last night’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., next week’s instalment of the ABC drama will finally address a mystery that fans have been desperate to learn more about since the season two finale.
That is, of course, what happened to Simmons when she was transported to a mysterious alien planet, and as you can see from the promo above, “4,722 Hours” promises to shed some light on exactly how the beloved character managed to survive and the kind of threats she encountered. Could she be hiding something from her fellow agents though?

After her dramatic rescue from another planet, Simmons is still reeling from her ordeal and reveals how she had to fight for her life in a harsh new world, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Tuesday, October 27th on ABC.
With so much of the Marvel Cinematic Universe off limits to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. because of what happens in the movie, it’s going to be interesting to see if the series introduced any sort of familiar or new cosmic threat here for Simmons to encounter.
Either way, for fans of the character, this instalment of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. promises to be must-watch.
