First Look Promo For The Flash Season 2, Episode 5: “The Darkness And The Light”

Tonight's episode of The Flash ended with a huge shocker as King Shark made his small screen debut in a very impressive - albeit brief - CGI appearance. Another Earth-2 villain, he was dealt with by the Harrison Wells from that alternate reality, and things ended on a cliffhanger as Barry Allen came face to face with the doppelgänger of his former mentor turned enemy.

It’s understandable then that the promo above revolves around Wells and his relationship to The Flash, but we also get a first look at Zoom! With his face finally revealed, we may not know who’s beneath the mask, but we at least now know what he looks like, and it’s a lot different to season one’s Reverse-Flash!

Here’s the official description for “The Darkness And The Light,” courtesy of The CW:

Barry (Grant Gustin) learns a new breacher, Dr. Light, has come through the portal and sets off to capture her. Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) tells Barry that Dr. Light was not a threat on Earth-2 and that Barry can reason with her. However, during a fight with The Flash, she blinds him and drops some shocking news about Zoom. Meanwhile, Barry and Patty (Shantel VanSanten) go out on a date.

Seeing how things play out in next week’s episode of The Flash promises to be very exciting, especially as the focus is back on Earth-2 after tonight’s Firestorm centric episode.

Do you have any theories about who Zoom really is, though? If so, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below.
