CBS have released the first official images from the fifth episode of Supergirl‘s first season, and they offer up a look at the villainous Livewire. True Blood star Brit Morgan guests as Leslie Willis/Livewire in this instalment, and she’s yet another Superman villain who will be causing a problem for Supergirl in the series. In fact, the character was first introduced in Superman: The Animated Series before being brought to the comic books.

Here’s the official synopsis for the episode – which is also titled “Livewire” – courtesy of the network:

Kara’s Thanksgiving may be ruined when she suspects her foster mother, Dr. Danvers (Helen Slater), who is coming to town, disapproves of her new role as a superhero. Also, when an accident transforms a volatile CatCo employee into the villainous Livewire, she targets Cat and Supergirl, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, Nov. 23 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This take on Livewire definitely resembles her comic book counterpart, but even more interesting is the image of Cat and Kara seemingly looking at different pairs of glasses. Is is at all possible that Supergirl decided to reveal her secret identity to her boss following the interview that took place at the end of this week’s episode?

That’s certainly one possibility, but we’re just going to have to wait and see for now. Stay tuned for more updates on Supergirl and let us know your thoughts on these images in the comments section down below.
