Extended Promo For The Flash Season 2, Episode 7: “Gorilla Warfare”

The CW has released an extended promo video for next week's brand new episode of The Flash, "Gorilla Warfare." Sharp minded fans likely do not even need to see a second of footage to discern that this episode will feature the return of everyone's favorite telepathic primate, Grodd. Not only that, he adheres to the tradition started by the great cinematic apes that preceded him and kidnaps a beautiful young lady in Caitlin.

Here’s the kicker: Barry has to deal with this threat while being temporarily paralyzed. After having his back broken by Zoom in last night’s episode, “Enter Zoom,” Barry and the rest of Team Flash must use their collective intellect to take down one of the Scarlet Speedster’s deadliest archenemies. It’s probably a solid bet, however, that Barry will heal just in time considering that we have photographic evidence that he will be up and about in the next episode.

Elsewhere, seeds continue to be planted for the upcoming spin off, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, as a pre-Hawkgirl Kendra Saunders makes another appearance. One has to wonder how she will abruptly transition from a barista politely flirting with Cisco to a mace wielding warrior in next month’s two-part Arrow/ Flash crossover. The producers have yet to steer us wrong, so trusting in their grand plan should come rather easily for many fans in addition to myself.

For more details, check out the official synopsis:

Grodd returns to Central City and kidnaps Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker). Barry (Grant Gustin) and team race to find her before it’s too late. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) plans his first date with the new barista at Jitters, Kendra Saunders (guest star Ciara Renée) and Patty (guest star Shantel VanSanten) begins to suspect Barry is hiding something from her. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing (#207). Original airdate 11/17/2015.

The Flash airs Tuesday nights at 8:00 pm EST on The CW.
