First Look Promo For Supernatural Season 11, Episode 7: “Plush”

The first promo has been released for next week's brand new episode of Supernatural, the amusingly titled "Plush." I feel that it really is worth a viewing or two because it somewhat harkens back to the earlier years of the show when each new trailer was tailored for that specific episode, making it look like a unique horror movie. This is not entirely in that vein, but fans of the show will certainly be able to see why I drew that parallel. I was actually thinking about that recently and it is something I really miss.

As for the content of the episode, Sheriff Donna, who seems to be developing a cult following of her own, calls upon the Winchester boys when a bizarre murder occurs in her hamlet that may require their expertise. The trailer leads us to believe that ghost possession is the cause of the matter, though we must consider other possibilities because trailers often employ the art of misdirection.

Ghost or not, the antagonist seems to have a penchant for dressing up as a bunny rabbit, which can be found to be amusing and disturbing at once. Yes, Season 11 has been consistently treading familiar waters, but at least it has been well executed.

Something else to look forward to will be Sam continuing to have strange visions. I wonder what this episode will have in store for us, considering last night’s episode teased the return of Lucifer. If they do go that route, we may be in store for the most grandiose story arc since Season 5.

You can check out the official synopsis below:

Sheriff Donna (guest star Briana Buckmaster) calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help after a horrific murder with supernatural elements happens in her town. Sam continues to have visions and asks God for help, which frustrates Dean. Tim Andrew directed the episode written by Eric Charmleo & Nicole Snyder (#1107). Original airdate 11/18/2015.

Supernatural airs Wednesday nights at 9:00 pm EST on The CW.
