Originally poised to go up against box office heavy-hitters such as Ice Age: Collision Course and Justin Lin’s Star Trek Beyond in July, Warner Bros. has confirmed plans to push Guy Ritchie’s Knights Of The Round Table: King Arthur movie into early 2017.

Deadline has the scoop, revealing that Ritchie’s medieval epic will spend some extra time in post-production, before galloping into theaters on February 17, 2017 in the States. Such is the crowded nature of Hollywood’s slate, which is becoming increasingly populated all throughout the year, that King Arthur has found its way out of the frying pan and into the freezer, with the February 2017 window pitting it against long-gestating action sequel Bad Boys 3 and the Maze Runner finale.

Even still, Warner Bros.’ move is a reshuffling effort that follows in the footsteps of Kingsman: The Secret Service, which pulled in a remarkable box office haul to the tune of $286 million in February of 2015. But we’re still a ways away before discovering whether Knights Of The Round Table: King Arthur can pull off a similar feat.

What we do know is that Pacific Rim and Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam takes charge as the titular lead, with a cast the also includes Eric Bana as Arthur’s father King Uther Pendragon, Djimon Hounsou, Jude Law as chief big bad Vortigern, and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides alum Astrid Bergès-Frisbey as Guinevere. Joby Harold, meanwhile, is the scribe in charge of the film’s screenplay,

Knights Of The Round Table: King Arthur, as we said, will now open in the US on February 17, 2017.
