In the comics, there have been a few different incarnations of this group, but the original team was formed by Hunter and also included Bonnie and Corky Baxter, his cousin Dan and a computer expert named Tony.

The more recent roster had some slightly bigger names such as Batman, Superman and Green Lantern. It’s not clear exactly which (if any) established DC characters will make up this small screen take on the Time Masters, but we don’t have very long to wait to find out.

DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow will be with us on January 21, and you can check out the official synopsis below.

On Thursday January 21, The CW kicks off a new night of action and adventure with the highly-anticipated series premiere of DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW. When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself.
