With around a week to go until the series premiere of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The CW has released two new promos which put the spotlight on the villainous Captain Cold and Heatwave. These two members of The Flash’s rogues gallery are easily the most surprising additions to the show given their bad guy status, but that’s what makes their presence here so much fun.

It remains to be seen whether or not Legends of Tomorrow will turn these two into heroes, but the footage in the videos above and below definitely points to them using this team for their own gain and to have a lot fun tearing through time.

In the comics, Captain Cold has recently undergone something of a heroic transformation after helping to save the Justice League, though it didn’t take long for it to be revealed that he’s still working with The Rogues, a villainous group of the Scarlet Speedster’s greatest foes. However, like his small screen counterpart, he has flirted with doing good on a few occasions, so it will be interesting to see how his arc in plays out in Legends of Tomorrow. Heatwave on the other hand is just plain crazy.

Legends of Tomorrow is set to hit The CW on January 21st, and with early reviews pointing to it being another hit for The CW, this ragtag team of heroes is clearly going to be here to stay.
