The CW has released the synopsis for the upcoming twelfth episode of The Flash, and it sounds like the life of Barry Allen is about to get a whole lot more complicated. That’s because he’ll be teaming up with the Earth-2 Harrison Wells, a character the midseason finale revealed is now in cahoots with Zoom after the life of his daughter was threatened.

WALLY FLIRTS WITH DANGER — Barry (Grant Gustin) teams up with Wells (Tom Cavanagh) to figure out a way to close the breaches, but they are distracted by a meta-human nicknamed Tar Pit (guest star Marco Grazzini) who can transform into liquid asphalt. Iris (Candice Patton) is concerned for Wally’s (Keiynan Lonsdale) safety after she finds out about his drag racing hobby. When he refuses to stop she makes a bold move that puts her in danger. Rachel Talalay directed the episode with story by Brooke Eikmeier and teleplay by Kai Yu Wu & Joe Peracchio.
What’s also quite interesting here is the fact that Wally West is being given such a significant role. It definitely feels as if The Flash is building towards doing something major with the character, and if it follows the comic books, that will involve him also becoming a speedster. However, that’s something we’re unlikely to see until the third season.
