For those of you who saw Deadpool last week during the press and promo screenings, you’ll know that there was a post credits scene that while humorous, was ultimately a bit disappointing.

We won’t spoil it for you here, but it certainly wasn’t what we were expecting. So, we’re very pleased to hear then that there was another post-credits scene not shown last week, as it will only appear when the film hits theatres this Friday.

The news comes to us via one of Deadpool‘s writers, Rhett Reese, who Tweeted the following:

Could this post-credits sting possibly tease a sequel, or that eventual X-Men team-up film? It’s impossible to say, but one thing’s for certain, and that’s that you better stay planted in your seat right until the lights come up in the theatres.

Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin and T.J. Miller, among others, and arrives this Friday, February 12th. To find out what we thought of it, be sure to read our glowing review.
