The latest of which landed during last night’s return of The Walking Dead season 6. At only one-minute in length, this new snippet from Paramount and Bad Robot’s soon-to-be-released drama – billed as a “blood relative” to 2008’s Cloverfield – retains the less-is-more approach of previous trailers, finding John Gallagher Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Winstead housed up in some form of underground bomb shelter.

Governed by John Goodman’s questionable introvert and survivalist, 10 Cloverfield Lane is set to deal with the fallout of global chemical warfare, presumably dropping us into a world that is left on the brink of devastation after Clover – and possibly other creatures of a similar stature – has torn Earth asunder.

Much like its predecessor, there’s a human element anchoring the on screen chaos. But forget Rob and Beth’s tragic love story, Dan Trachtenberg’s blood relative ventures into much darker territory to examine the relationship between Goodman’s character and his refugees (hostages?) as they look to make the most out of the apocalypse from deep beneath the Earth’s surface.

10 Cloverfield Lane is set to loom into theaters on March 11. But just what could be lurking beyond that blast door?
