Hell’s Kitchen is about to explode, and caught somewhere in the middle of that crime-ridden cauldron are Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson and Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page, the ‘good’ guys anchoring Netflix and Marvel’s much-anticipated Daredevil season 2.

Donning the blood-red guise as NYC’s Man Without Fear is Charlie Cox’s Murdock, flanked by an old friend in Foggy and a potential love interest in Karen. Indeed, it’s the latter pair that take center stage today for a pair of new season 2 promos, which are essentially designed as moody motion posters to gear us up for the show’s return in little under a month’s time.

While he’s not solving cases as part of Nelson and Murdock: Attorneys at Law, Matt Murdock prowls the streets as Hell’s Kitchen watchful protector. With Fisk now behind bars, his all-too-brief period of respite comes crashing down when Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle (AKA The Punisher) emerges from the shadows, burning through the city’s criminal underbelly like a one-man reign of terror.

Struggling to get a handle on Castle’s relentless killing spree, Daredevil season 2 looks to explore just how similar the sworn enemies really are, with the recent full trailer having Bernthal’s gun-toting maniac write off Murdock as a half-measure. “You hit them and they get back up, I hit them and they stay down!”

Couple this with the introduction of one Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung) and the show’s sophomore outing is bursting at the seams with storytelling potential, but can it emulate the success of the inaugural season?

Daredevil season 2 premieres exclusively on Netflix come March 18. To get an early peek of Matt’s loyal allies, check out the newly-released motion posters below.
