First Teaser For Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Season 2 Struts Online

If Netflix's slate was packed to the brim with high-profile debuts (Masters of None) and original features (Beasts of No Nation) in 2015, then the next 10 months look to continue that streak and then some. Following the one-two punch of House of Cards and Daredevil in March, spring 2016 will also herald the arrival of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 2.

If Netflix’s slate was packed to the brim with high-profile debuts (Masters of None) and original features (Beasts of No Nation) in 2015, then the next 10 months set look to continue that streak – and then some. Following the one-two punch of House of Cards and Daredevil in March, spring 2016 will also herald the arrival of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 2.

That’s right, Ellie Kemper’s kooky character is set to return on April 15, and today’s first teaser reunites the beloved lead with Tituss (Tituss Burgess), and rich housewife Jacqueline Voorhees (Jane Krakowski), who also happens to be Kimmy’s new boss.

As wide-eyed and enthusiastic as ever, Kimmy Schmidt carved out a place in our hearts during the first season, after breaking out of a cult and making a beeline for New York. Blinking into the sunlight and onto the streets of the Big Apple, last year’s acclaimed opener laid the groundwork, and we can hardly wait to see what lies in store for Kemper’s protagonist in two months’ time.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 2 is due to hit Netflix on April 15. The fun doesn’t stop there, though, given the online streaming giant has already ordered a third season of Tina Fey and Robert Carlock’s beloved series.

Ellie Kemper stars as Kimmy Schmidt, a woman who escapes from a doomsday cult and starts life over in New York. After living in a cult for fifteen years, Kimmy decides to reclaim her life and start over in New York City. Armed with just a backpack, light-up sneakers, and a couple of way-past-due library books, she’s ready to take on a world she didn’t even think existed anymore. Wide-eyed but resilient, nothing is going to stand in her way.
