War Machine Sets His Sights On Steve Rogers In Captain America: Civil War Scene Description

Despite the fact that Captain America: Civil War is one of 2016's most highly anticipated releases, it feels like it's been forever since we last got a good look at the movie. Sure, there was that Super Bowl TV spot, but a full-length trailer feels like it's long overdue at this stage.

Despite the fact that Captain America: Civil War is one of 2016’s most highly anticipated releases, it feels like it’s been forever since we last got a good look at the movie. Sure, there was that Super Bowl TV spot, but a full-length trailer feels like it’s long overdue at this stage.

Still, while we wait for that to show up, at least there’s a new scene description for us to chew on, which comes from footage shown off to Disney investors earlier today.

Here’s how it plays out:

The clip started off with a car chase featuring a motorcycle and a black Audi SUV. The chase involved Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Falcon (Anthony Mackie). They pursued each other through a tunnel, which became engulfed in explosions generated by the skirmish.

Eventually, the characters emerged from the tunnel, only to be met by War Machine (Don Cheadle). It appeared as though he was on the scene to detain Captain America.

“Stand down now,” War Machine angrily told the captain. “Congratulations, Cap, you’re a criminal.” Black Panther then intervened, baring his metal claws and ripping off his mask to reveal his identity.

While it’s tough to put this into context (does Black Panther unmask to show War Machine that he’s really T’Challa and on his side?), it sounds like a really cool, action heavy sequence. Disney usually put out clips from their Marvel movies ahead of release as well, so here’s hoping they get around to sharing this one with us somewhere down the line.

Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is currently set to be released worldwide on May 6th, 2016.
