Casting news for Marvel’s Iron Fist is ramping up, and while the April Fools Day timing of today’s particular announcement might not be the best, it’s nevertheless a reason for fans to get excited. As confirmed by EW, the studio and Netflix have cast Jessica Henwick as the female lead, Colleen Wing, in the superhero series.

Henwick has some recent nerd cred, although in bit roles. On Game of Thrones she played Nymeria Sand, one of the bastard offspring “Sand Snakes” based in Dorne. She even popped up in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as Jessika Pava, an X-Wing fighter pilot who helps fight against the First Order in the blockbuster film.

In Iron Fist, she’ll partner up with the titular hero to tackle the newest threat to New York City, a threat the details of which have been kept under lock and key (like most details about the fourth Netflix/Marvel team-up). What we do know is that Wing is a martial arts expert like Danny Rand (fellow Game of Thrones cast member Finn Jones), and she runs her own dojo in the city.

Since Marvel’s Luke Cage is the next big Netflix series in the pipeline, it makes sense why not much else is known about Iron Fist, but it’s safe to say the show will premiere sometime in 2017.
