Jim Gordon Heads “Into The Woods” In New Gotham Photos

Although Gotham will be a repeat this week, Fox has treated us to a host of new images from next week's brand new episode, which is titled "Wrath of the Villains: Into the Woods." What is great about these photos is that they allow us to gain some insight that we had not previously gotten from the official synopsis, or even the trailer, for that matter. A mere round of screencaps these are not.

Although Gotham will be a repeat this week, Fox has treated us to a host of new images from next week’s brand new episode, which is titled “Wrath of the Villains: Into the Woods.” What’s great about these photos is that they allow us to gain some insight that we had not previously gotten from the official synopsis, or even the trailer, for that matter. A mere round of screencaps these are not.

If you witnessed last week’s episode, “Wrath of the Villians: Prisoners,” you know that Jim Gordon escaped from prison and has opted to remain in Gotham City in an attempt to clear his name. I have often used the word “intense” to describe this show in recent weeks, and that once again seems like an appropriate term to describe some of the scenes we will witness next week.

The fact that Gordon is going to Edward Nygma, the man who framed him, for help should make for some television that no fan will want to miss. Granted, Jim has yet to attain such knowledge, but some of the latter pictures in the gallery show an Edward that looks quite desperate and disheveled, possibly suggesting that the net is closing on him. His journey to becoming The Riddler has taken great strides of late, so I can only guess this episode will serve as another important piece of the puzzle.

Another thing to notice in the gallery is that Gordon seems to have found safe haven at Wayne Manor. Bruce and Alfred have always known him to be a man of conviction, so it’s nice to see he has people to turn to aside from Harvey Bullock.

For more details, check out the official synopsis below:

In an attempt to clear his name, Gordon steals his case file and approaches Nygma for help. Meanwhile, Penguin discovers his step-family’s role in his father’s death, and awakens from his conditioning in the all-new “Wrath of the Villains: Into the Woods” episode of Gotham airing Monday, April 11 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GTH-217) (TV-14 L, S, V)
