The developer had previously slated Blood And Wine for a Q1 release, later shifting that projection back to a more vague ‘first half of the year’ window. If the June 7 date turns out to be accurate, it’ll fit with the amended release date, but we’ll just have to wait and see if the studio responds to the rumor.

Blood And Wine will be the second expansion pack to be released for The Witcher 3, and is expected to provide fans with an additional 20 hours+ of new content. Unlike the first DLC pack – Hearts Of StoneBlood And Wine will take place in an entirely new region called Toussaint and will “take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.”

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt hit consoles and PC in May last year, and has since gone on to win practically every type of award under the sun for its terrifically realized world, immersive story and improved gameplay over previous games in the series. We thought it was pretty much the pinnacle of the RPG genre, too.
