More Video Of Porter Robinson’s Flip Of RL Grime’s “The Hills” Remix Has Surfaced

Leave it to Porter Robinson to somehow make air horn samples cool again in 2016. A couple weeks ago Instagram user isabeasty uploaded footage of the Worlds producer dropping a markedly Porter-esque flip of RL Grime's remix of The Weeknd's "The Hills" during his performance at California State University, Fullerton's Spring Concert event, and he just decided to upload more video of the same track.

Leave it to Porter Robinson to somehow make air horn samples cool again in 2016. A couple weeks ago Instagram user isabeasty uploaded footage of the Worlds producer dropping a markedly Porter-esque flip of RL Grime’s remix of The Weeknd’s “The Hills” during his performance at California State University, Fullerton’s Spring Concert event, and he just decided to upload more video of the same track.

Where the bass drop in the first video was driven by an electrifying synth portamento, the second picks up the pace with a hyphy barrage of air horn sound effects. It’s hard to imagine such a mockable trope working in a soundscape put together by an artist whose name is so synonymous with post-EDM electronic music, but Porter Robinson manages to pull it off.

Listen to the second video of the producer’s flip of RL Grime’s remix of “The Hills” by The Weeknd and make a trip down to the comments section to let us know what you think of it.

The drop was insane lol . #springconcert #porterrobinson #fullerton
