Capping off Paramount’s deluge of stylish one-sheets for Star Trek Beyond, the studio has today rolled out a pair of character posters for Justin Lin’s sequel, this time welcoming Kirk and Idris Elba’s menacing Krall to the fray.
Donning a hefty amount of prosthetics for the part, Elba’s marauding baddie looks to be the one orchestrating the assault on the USS Enterprise in Beyond‘s most-recent trailer – an attack that eventually finds our heroes stranded on a remote alien planet far, far from home.
But in true Star Trek spirit, the crew will be forced to use their wit and unite against said enemy forces, and just yesterday Karl Urban touched base on how Beyond delves into the complex dynamic between his Leonard McCoy and Spock (Zachary Quinto). Spoilers: expect plenty of agitated bickering.
Acting as one of the bigger tentpoles on the summer slate, Justin Lin’s Star Trek Beyond makes a beeline for theaters on July 22.
