Answer The Call With This Cool New Poster For The Ghostbusters Reboot

There's not a 2016 release more divisive than Paul Feig's Ghostbusters, with some maintaining that it looks pretty good and others who no doubt played a role in making the teaser the most disliked movie trailer on YouTube. Then, there are those who simply seem to despise the reboot's existence simply because it has four female leads.

There’s not a 2016 release more divisive than Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters, with some maintaining that it looks pretty good and others who no doubt played a role in making the teaser the most disliked movie trailer on YouTube. Then, there are those who simply seem to despise the reboot’s existence simply because it has four female leads.

Regardless of which camp you fall into, there’s no denying that this new poster is a rather impressive piece of artwork, as it showcases the franchise’s new heroes looking ready for action. Of course, it’s unlikely to change any minds and is a simple enough one sheet in the grand scheme of things, but expect to see much more from Ghostbusters over the coming weeks as Sony’s marketing campaign kicks off in a big way. They are, after all, hoping to make the controversial reboot a hit and start of a brand new franchise which will launch sequels, spinoffs and more.

As you no doubt already know, this new take on the Ghostbusters franchise will focus on Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones), Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy), Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), and Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon). The cast also includes Chris Hemsworth (as the team’s secretary), Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, and Neil Casey as the reboot’s lead villain – a pretty impressive roster of talent, right?

It remains to be seen whether Ghostbusters ends up exceeding expectations or falling flat (as many fans of the original movies hope), but we’ll find out soon enough, as it’s set to be released on July 22nd, 2016.
