Marvel’s love affair with Hall H is primed to continue later this month, and one movie that has already booked its place at San Diego Comic-Con is spacefaring sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Promising to showcase “something pretty cool,” the jury’s still out on what James Gunn is cooking up ahead of the main event, and given the director only recently called a wrap on Guardians 2, eager fans shouldn’t expect much more than a teaser trailer at best.

At least according to Gunn’s latest Tweet (via ScreenRant), that’s exactly what Marvel has in store for Comic-Con.

Barring any pre-emptive leaks, studios traditionally tend to ensure reveal trailers and other footage remains within the confines of Hall H and going off of the director’s confirmation, it appears those who attend the Guardians 2 presentation will be in for a treat one way or the other.

We’ll be keeping tabs on the Guardians 2 showcase and indeed all Marvel presentations over the course of the next few weeks. For now, we understand that James Gunn has welcomed back his galactic motley crew, ensuring Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon) and Vin Diesel (Groot) are all on board. There’s also roles for Karen Gillan (Nebula) and Michael Rooker (Yondu), while Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Tommy Flanagan, Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone headline the newcomers.

Set against the fist-pumping chords of Awesome Mixtape #2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is expected to zoom into theaters in time for May 5, 2017.
