Amazon Rolls Out First Teaser For Season 2 Of The Man In The High Castle

Amazon has rolled out the very first teaser for The Man in the High Castle season 2, which returns with a 10-episode run in 2017.

When the credits rolled on the series finale of The Man in the High Castle, Amazon’s original show that plunged America into a dark and twisted alternate history, fans were left with a truckload of unanswered questions.

Making matters worse, production on season 2 hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing, what with Frank Spotnitz’s decision to step down as showrunner mid-way through filming. In his steed, executive producers Isa Dick Hackett, David Zucker and Dan Percival helped steer development back on course, and here we arrive at the very first teaser for The Man in the High Castle‘s sophomore outing.

Hailing from Amazon’s SDCC panel – one which featured series regulars Alexa Davalos, Rufus Sewell, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, and Rupert Evans – many of those unanswered questions are shoved into the limelight, not to mention footage of Hitler unleashing a nuclear bomb on a hapless population.

The Man in the High Castle is expected to return at some point in 2017 but in the meantime, you can have a gander at some new stills for the sophomore season, below.

Based on Philip K. Dick’s Hugo Award-winning 1962 alternate history novel, one-hour drama series The Man in the High Castle explores what would have happened if the Allied Powers had lost World War II. While Germany controls much of the East Coast and Japan controls the West Coast, the Rocky Mountains have become a “neutral zone”—and ground zero for a rebellion, led by a mysterious figure known only as “the Man in the High Castle.” Some citizens struggle against the fear, oppression and inequality—others accept their lives, as compromised and unfulfilling as they might be. But after a series of enigmatic films surface depicting a world vastly different from their own, some begin to question the very nature of their reality.
