Hailing from PlayStation Blog and PlayStation Access, the first snippet can be seen up above and features PS Blog alum Sid Shuman ripping open the standard bundle, before presenting all of the contents included: the Wii-sized processor unit, wired stereo headphones, all required cables such as HDMI, and a demo disc that will come packing 18 bite-sized experiences in North America, and eight across the pond.

Some of those titles included on said disc are designed to be intense, five-minute bursts, allowing you to dip your toe in the likes of RIGS Mechanized Combat League, DriveClub VR, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, Battlezone and EVE: Valkyrie, arguably the early poster child for this VR renaissance after wowing early adopters of the Oculus Rift.

As for Sony’s new platform, though, it’ll be priced at $399 (€399/£349/$549 CAD) at launch and will require PlayStation Camera as standard, which you’ll have to pick up separately. As Shuman points out, the PSVR will tout a 5.7″ OLED 5.7 screen allowing for 1920 x RGB x 1080 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and a 360 degree tracking with 9 LEDs – LEDs that will utilize that PS Camera for head movement in select titles. The second unboxing video, seen below, is essentially Access unveiling the UK version of PlayStation VR and all of the contents included in the retail box.

PlayStation VR launches on October 13. Stay tuned for more coverage of Sony’s head-mounted device as we near release, at which time we’ll have a review of the hardware itself for you to peruse.
