2016 has been a big year for Hotel Garuda so far. After gaining considerable attention for their remix work, the duo released their debut single “Smoke Signals” on PMRD Records in the first half of the year, and would later go on to deliver a top notch rework of Kaskade and Felix Cartal’s “Fakin It” over the summer. Now they’re back with their latest single, a collaboration with Swedish pop band Violet Days called “Fixed On You.”
“Fixed On You” opens with some icy piano notes before offbeat chords and light percussion craft a rhythmic background under rapid vocal hooks from Violet Days. After a short build up, Hotel Garuda move the production forward into a deep house drop, with punchy bass tones, sampled melodies and energetic house beats.
With just a handful of original releases under their belt, Hotel Garuda are quickly making a name for themselves as an act to watch in dance music. “Fixed On You” serves as another strong offering from the duo, with its excellent production values and catchy songwriting courtesy of Violet Days.
