Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4, Episode 4 Promo Released

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is already 3 episodes into its fourth season, but this year's fiery main attraction, Ghost Rider, has only really encountered (well, he did terrify the hell out of Fitz and Mack last week, but no words were exchanged) one of the main characters thus far, as he and Daisy have formed a partnership of sorts. That all changes on next Tuesday's installment, however, as The Spirit of Vengeance's host Robbie Reyes finds himself a captive of Coulson and friends.

In the promo for “Let me Stand Next to Your Fire,” Mack recognizes Reyes, and the team somehow manage to subdue him. With the defiant Rider safely (for the time being, anyway) in custody, Coulson asks him how he came by his powers, and we get the same explanation he gave Daisy: a “deal with the devil.”

Fans have been curious about this themselves, ever since it was announced that the supernatural character was going to be utilized for the show. Is he possessed by the literal Spirit of Vengeance, or will they come up with a slightly more rational/scientific reason for his powers? Considering we’ve already met a few ghosts this season, I’d say the explanation is going to surprise many people and open the door to a very different reality than we’ve been used to seeing… much like a certain Marvel Sorcerer that’s set to make his big screen debut very soon.

You can find out what else will be going on in the episode with the official synopsis below:
