The Punisher is currently shooting in New York City, and today, some more intriguing set photos have found their way online. The latest shots show Frank Castle rocking an even bigger beard than when we last saw him, but now his unruly hair has been replaced with a buzzcut not all that dissimilar to what he had during his early appearances in Daredevil season 2.

Now, none of this exactly reveals any significant plot details, but it’s fair to assume that Frank Castle is trying to remain hidden in plain sight here. The buzzcut and longer beard also point to some time having passed in The Punisher since the events that the last lot of those photos depicted, so it could be that the character’s story will take place over a period of weeks or months.

Very little is known about the plot of The Punisher so far, but some recent casting news made it apparent that we’re going to see Frank battling his arch nemesis from the comics, Jigsaw. Micro is also set to appear, while Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal) is serving as executive producer and showrunner in addition to writing the series’ first two episodes.

A premiere date for the show has not been revealed, but Marvel previously confirmed that it will debut in 2017, making The Punisher Netflix’s third Marvel show next year alongside Iron Fist and The Defenders.
