Acclaimed indie game The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth will finally see a release on Apple’s iOS platform “very soon,” according to developer Nicalis. Breaking the news over on the game’s official blog, Nicalis’ Tyrone Rodriguez says that the roguelike has “been approved by Apple” and that the studio is “working on getting all the features” they want into the game.

When it drops, a single purchase on any Apple device (iPhone, iPad and later even Apple TV) will be universal, meaning it can be downloaded any number of times afterwards at no additional cost. Cloud saves and Bluetooth controller support will also be included.

For the uninitiated, Binding of Isaac began life on PC back in 2011. Created and released by Super Meat Boy co-creator Edmund McMillen, the procedurally generated dungeon crawler proved to be extremely popular, eventually spawning a sequel – The Binding of Isaac: Rebirthfor Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

A further expansion – Afterbirth – was released in 2015, adding new items, bosses, secrets and floors for players to explore and discover. One final add-on, Afterbirth, is slated for release in the near future which will to introduce even more new content.

Nicalis had originally hoped to bring The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth to iOS earlier this year, but Apple rejected the application, deeming it as having unsuitable content.
