Justin Timberlake Talks Upcoming Album

Before Justin Timberlake announced what would be his magnum opus, The 20/20 Experience, the making of the record was shrouded in mystery. Timberlake was simply not one to speak about the fact that he was recording a record, and it was a surprise that he even made a new album to begin with. However, he’s become much more transparent since then, and we aren’t complaining.

Speaking with Variety, the “Mirrors” crooner says that if The 20/20 Experience sounded like it “literally surrounds your entire head,” then the new material “feels more like it just punches you between the eyes.” While nobody wants to be punched between the eyes, we kind of get what he’s saying – his brand of pop certainly does pack a punch, and if his recent single, “Can’t Stop The Feeling,” is anything to go off of, then he’s got a lot more firepower where that came from.

He also went into detail on the collaborators for his new music, which includes hit maker and “Feeling” partner Max Martin, and of course, old time pals Timbaland and Pharrell. It’ll be a nice homecoming for Timberlake music as his songs haven’t been produced by Pharrell since his Justified days well over a decade ago. Though Justin Timberlake’s got no issue talking about new music now, he also has no problem breaking the hearts of anyone who expects it out soon, stating that he’ll put it out “when it’s done” and “when it feels right.”
