The Defenders is currently shooting in New York City, and while we’ve yet to see the likes of Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist on the set of the eight part event series, Krysten Ritter has been spotted as Jessica Jones alongside Rachael Taylor as her best friend Trish Walker. As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Trish is just one of many supporting characters set to return in the sure to be epic team-up, as we’ll also be seeing Elektra, Claire Temple, Stick and many more.

Other than the fact that Jessica and Trish are seen having a pretty friendly looking chat in these photos, there’s sadly nothing here which really sheds any light on what we should expect from the plot of The Defenders. That being said, it’s nice to see that this relationship will continue considering the fact that it was such a pivotal part of Jessica Jones season 1.

Speaking of which, the show has already been renewed for a second batch of episodes, but given that Netflix will stream Iron Fist, The Punisher and The Defenders in 2017, we could be waiting quite a while until we get to see the private eye embark on another solo mission.

With any luck, more details on The Defenders will be released in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, Netflix is sitting out of the winter TCA press tour, so we won’t get anything from there, but hopefully they won’t make us wait too long.
