“Nature made me a freak. Man made me a weapon. And God made it last too long.” If you recall, that’s the line uttered by a lonely, world-weary Wolverine in the very first teaser for Logan, as he stands alone in a barren field. It’s a moody shot, and one that effectively portrays the fractured mindset of Hugh Jackman’s ageing mutant, isolated in a near-future where the mutant population is fast on the wane.

Releasing alongside the latest black-and-white update from the Wponx Instagram feed, you can catch a closer look at said shot up above, while the second of today’s Logan photos is much more ominous, showcasing a smattering of bullet holes that have bore into the steely exterior of a car. Could this be Jackman’s ride? We’re inclined to believe it is.

Of course, it’s difficult to get a conclusive look at the damaged vehicle in question from today’s shot, but at least based on the image below, it does evoke memories of the jet-black Chrysler that Hugh Jackman was pictured next to when The Wolverine 3 was still in active production. It’s simply conjecture at this stage, but it does tee up a potential car chase – or at least some form of confrontation – between Logan and the Reavers, a deadly band of mercenaries headed up by Boyd Holbrook’s big bad Pierce – cyborg extremity and all.

Expect Logan to make a beeline for theaters on March 3, 2017. Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Dafne Keen, Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal, and Elizabeth Rodriguez co-star.
