Before that happen though, it seems that Thanksgiving dinner isn’t exactly going smoothly for the Danvers clan. A tipsy Alex is clearly ready to come out of the closet to her friends and family, but there’s a fair bit of tension between her and the Girl of Steel. Before she can spill the beans, Alex is interrupted by one of Vibe’s breaches, the portals he creates to travel between realities.

For more on what to expect from this episode of Supergirl – titled “Medusa” – here’s the official synopsis.

Eliza (guest star Helen Slater) comes to town to celebrate Thanksgiving with her daughters. Alex (Chyler Leigh) decides it’s time to come out to her mother; Kara (Melissa Benoist) is shocked when Eliza suggests Mon-El (Chris Wood) has feelings for her, and Winn (Jeremy Jordan) and James (Mehcad Brooks) consider telling Kara the truth about the Guardian. Meanwhile, CADMUS unleashes a virus that instantly kills any alien in the vicinity so Kara enlists an unexpected ally – Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath). The epic superhero crossover kicks off tonight when Barry Allen (guest star Grant Gustin) and Cisco Ramon (guest star Carlos Valdes) seek Kara’s help with an alien invasion on their Earth. Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode written by Jessica Queller & Derek Simon.

As you can tell, most of this instalment will be dedicated to Supergirl’s battle with CADMUS, with the crossover not really kicking off until the two heroes from another Earth show up in the closing few minutes. However, assuming these breaches continue appearing, chances are the show will at least have some fun with the characters trying to figure out what’s going on.

“Invasion!” kicks off on November 28th on Supergirl.
