Porter Robinson is one of the most innovative live acts in electronic music today, and his performances have become a favorite among dance music fans for both their technicality and their emotional power. Considering Robinson's penchant for putting on a stellar show, it's no surprise that recordings of his performances are constantly showing up on the internet, like his recent Halloween edit of "Fresh Static Snow." Now, a new recording of his live edit of synthpop duo Purity Ring's "Begin Again" has surfaced.

The new video mashes up elements of Sakuraburst’s remix with a live rip of Porter Robinson’s edit, offering up one of the cleanest recordings of his “Begin Again” version around. The live edit utilizes the haunting chord progression and vocals from Purity Ring’s original version, juxtaposed against a flurry of Robinson’s signature synth elements.

Unfortunately, the video cuts out before it reaches the two minute mark, leaving us hungry for more by the time it’s over. The Purity Ring vocals from “Begin Again” work perfectly with Porter Robinson’s style though, paralleling the timbre of the vocaloid hooks heard on Worlds to great effect.

If the new live edit wasn’t enough to satisfy your Porter Robinson kick, be sure to check out his recent rehearsal video with Madeon for the Shelter Tour as well as his full set from Voodoo Music Festival.
